Telefunken U47

A Faithful Recreation of a Studio Legend

The TELEFUNKEN U47 is a hand-built, point-to-point wired recreation of the original large-diaphragm tube microphone, produced in South Windsor, Connecticut. It stays true to the historic design with a TELEFUNKEN M7 center-terminated capsule, a historically accurate BV8 output transformer, and a VF14K vacuum tube, resulting in the authoritative midrange and extended low end the original is known for.

The U47 offers switchable Cardioid and Omnidirectional polar patterns and is equally at home on lead vocals, electric guitar, and orchestral or chamber recordings. Every microphone is delivered as a complete system with its own tube cable, regulated power supply, elastic shock mount, wooden storage box, and locking flight case.

Configurations

Available as a Single microphone system (incl. M 940H power supply, M 840TH Sommer tube cable, M 740 shock mount, FC40 flight case, WB40 wooden box), or as a frequency- and gain-matched Stereo Set with a dual M 940HS power supply and two complete accessory sets.
