The 251 Sound, Reimagined with a Modern Capsule

The ELA M 251T is based on the classic 251E design but introduces a newly developed CK13 capsule, whose diaphragm uses Alloy 2213 — a titanium/aluminum amalgam originally developed for aerospace applications — in place of gold. The result is a modern take on the legendary 251 tonality, with pronounced high-end accuracy paired with low-frequency definition.

The amplifier is built around a New Old Stock Siemens ECC801S vacuum tube, and the system is point-to-point wired in the USA and delivered with a standmount cable, power supply, Rycote shock mount, wooden box and locking flight case.

Configurations

Available as a Single microphone system, or as a frequency- and gain-matched Stereo Set with a dual power supply and duplicate accessories.
