A Meticulously Accurate Reissue of a Legend

The ELA M 251E recreates one of the most celebrated microphones in recording history, part-for-part interchangeable with 50-plus-year-old originals. Its smooth yet present character, extended low end, detailed midrange and silky top end have made it a first-call choice for vocals and acoustic instruments in the world's top studios.

The 251E uses a US-made, historically accurate CK12 edge-terminated capsule and a TELEFUNKEN 6072A vacuum tube, and is point-to-point wired by hand in TELEFUNKEN's Connecticut facility. Each system ships complete with tube cable, power supply, Rycote shock mount, wooden box and locking flight case.
