ICONIC AND IMMENSELY WEIGHTY, “ELECTRIC” EQUALIZATION
AudioScape EQP-2A: Legendary Tube Equalization in a New Stereo Format
AudioScape's newest addition to the lineup, the EQP-2A stereo tube EQ is an uncompromising, authentically USA-made recreation of a classic American vintage tube equalizer known for imparting a uniquely electric, silky sheen and thundering, tight low end to countless recordings over the last half-century. And in true AudioScape fashion, an extraordinary amount of time, passion and obsessive attention to detail was spent refining and perfecting their take on the legendary EQP circuit to ensure every EQP-2A behaves and performs just like the original - all at a peerless price point within reach of engineers working at any level.
Painstaking Circuit Design & Carefully Selected, Period-Correct Components
With a unit as famed and beloved as the EQP, it's no surprise that there are many clones on the market claiming to capture the magic and vintage soul of the original. But it turns out there's much more to this magic than meets the eye - literally. Just like the EQP-A, the EQP-2A includes: a full complement of NOS tubes, including the oft-excluded NOS 6x4 rectifier tubes (an important aspect of the original’s sound), custom-wound inductors, and high-end custom iron that matches the specifications and performance of the originals, including the critical inter-stage transformer omitted from most EQP clones despite its crucial contributions to both performance and the original’s box tone. By necessity, they've actually corrected the EQP circuit to more accurately reflect the behavior and sound of the vintage units, after finding the original schematics contained errors that drastically affected performance at certain filter settings. The difference is remarkable, and it reinforces their belief that no amount of research, development, listening tests, or time is too much to invest in a product of this pedigree.
Electrifying, Larger-Than-Life Sonic Elegance
The EQP-2A has been built from the ground up accurately and faithfully, with no component compromises and no gratuitous enhancements. They've invested an immense amount of time testing and refining this EQP-2A to produce the same awe-inspiring reaction engineers around the world have felt when using the original; every-time the circuit is engaged or a setting is changed. And they're confident you'll feel the same!
Our Philosophy - Recreating the Euphonic Sonics of a Bygone Era
Like every AudioScape product, the EQP-2A was designed and built with one core principle in mind: Sonic Truth! They're proud to offer you a unit that they feel truly replicates the magic, mojo, and character of such a classic, time-tested tube EQ. They can't wait to hear what you have to say and hope you love it as much as they are proud of it!
Handcrafted in the USA - Legendary Circuits deserve Legendary Craftsmanship

IS THIS AN UPGRADE OR BETTER THAN A EQP-A?
NO! This is literally an EQP-A in stereo form. Aside from some minor cosmetic differences, it is exactly the same circuit, tube and component compliment (they get products right when they release them the first time). Additionally, there are some that may prefer the separate dual mono controls on the EQP-A as it provides more individual control. The EQP-2A is for those who have limited rack space, or prefer a simpler stereo equalizer in a 3U format.
