xmax qube encodes an incoming stereo signal into Mid and Side, and further splits the Mid signal into Low and Mid bands, giving you three independent compressors packed into the rugged, lightweight elysia qube for analog processing on the go. A fixed 10 ms attack preserves natural transients, with Auto Fast automatically shortening attack time when gain reduction exceeds 8 dB.
An adjustable crossover between the low and mid bands, a VariLink function, and a Tone control for adding air round out the dynamics. A Soft Clip Limiter derived from the alpha compressor drives the signal harder without clipping. The qube is fully self-contained with its own internal power supply.
