xfilter is a true stereo-linked 4-band equalizer, a rarity among analog EQs. Its two channels are matched using computer-selected dual and quad-layer potentiometers plus low-tolerance capacitors, so both channels behave identically instead of drifting apart the way ordinary linked-mono designs do.

The outer bands double as switchable resonant high- and low-cut filters, the two parametric mid bands offer a choice of wide (Q 0.5) or narrow (Q 1.0) bandwidth, and a switchable passive 'Massage' filter polishes the top end with a gentle inductor-based resonance around 12 kHz.
