karacter 500 brings elysia's Class-A stereo saturator/distortion circuit into the 500 Series format: from subtle mastering-grade coloration to tube-inspired distortion and full FET Shred destruction, with an onboard Mix control and a Color Filter to voice the harmonics.

The circuit is identical across all elysia formats, so the sound is exactly the same whether you choose the rack, this 500 Series module, or the qube.

Product Description

colored. dirty. saturated.

karacter 500 adds mastering-grade harmonic coloration or full tube-inspired distortion to any source, controlled by a single Drive knob and a Mix control that blends the processed signal back with the dry path. A unique Color Filter, integrated deep into the saturation circuit itself, shapes the harmonic content from dubby growl to steely punch.

An integrated Mid/Side matrix lets you saturate the center and sides of a stereo signal independently, while Turbo Boost pushes the FET Shred mode into extreme, asymmetrical distortion for industrial textures and mangled samples.
