A NEW color for your Crayon Box!

A new color for your sonic crayon box! AudioScape's newest addition to the AudioScape lineup, the V108, is an uncompromising recreation of one of the most iconic mic preamps ever made.

Featuring a unique combination of JFET-coupled input, class-A 1108-style line amp and custom wound transformer-balanced inputs and outputs, its tone can vary from clean and detailed to a warm and rich harmonic saturation. The V108 is your new secret weapon (AudioScape won't tell, promise!).

Imagine the sonic marriage of the 1960’s class-A line-amplifier circuit found in the world's most famous FET compressor of the same era, designed by one of the all-time masters of the craft, coupled with the BEEF of custom wound transformers; the V108 is all that AND a bag of chips!

AudioScape is hyped to be the first to offer this “sonic crayon” in a 500-Series format!

Description du produit

The AudioScape V108 Class-A 500-SERIES Microphone Preamp

AudioScape V108 MICROPHONE PREAMPLIFIER: UNIQUELY CLASSIC & YOUR NEW ‘SECRET WEAPON’

AudioScape's newest addition to the AudioScape lineup, the V108 is uncompromising - it is a new color for your crayon box. Its unique JFET-Coupled Input Stage allows for saturation characteristics that verge on the excessive but can effortlessly fold right into a source. The V108 is rock n’ roll. From CLEAN to MEAN, it delivers. Set yourself apart from the pack - discover YOUR new favorite crayon. ;-)

As with all of AudioScape's products and in TRUE Audioscape fashion, an extraordinary amount of time, passion, and obsessive attention to detail was spent refining and perfecting the V108 - all at a peerless price point within reach of engineers working at ANY level. AudioScape hopes you like it as much as they are proud of it!

So… What does the V108 sound like?

Imagine a sonic marriage of 1960s Class-A Transformer BEEF with the line-amplifier circuitry found in the world's most famous FET Compressor of the same era ;-)

JFET SATURATION / CLASSIC LINE AMP SATURATION / TRANSFORMER SATURATION

A custom-designed JFET Mic Input Stage allows decisive control over the saturation characteristics of the V108 while the line amp circuitry and output transformer (also found in the world’s most ICONIC FET Compressor) imparts a one of a kind vibe and distinct, exceptional TONE to any source.

The V108 GAIN CONTROL has an approximate range of 35-65dB (in 5dB steps) with a fully variable OUTPUT CONTROL - the V108’s Dual-Stage design allows you to smash the GAIN control and trim back the OUTPUT control for lush, thick saturation. Alternatively - sweetened, detailed sonics can easily be captured by using lower GAIN and higher OUTPUT settings.

The V108’s wholly unique, harmonically-enriched soft saturation and solid-state, discrete Class-A circuitry sets the V108 apart from other solid-state mic preamps in your arsenal.

LEGENDARY 1108-STYLE CLASS-A LINE AMPLIFIER

The V108 “sound” is unique for a solid-state pre and will quickly become your go-to for guitars, gritty vocals, bass, and your awesome Mini Moog! The unique Line Amp circuitry of the V108 and the resulting sonics alone make the V108 a MUST-HAVE color in your box of crayons.

FUN FACT: This same LINE-AMPLIFIER circuit is also found in the world’s most ICONIC FET Compressor from the 1960s!

- Imagine all of the times you’ve tied up your favorite classic FET Limiter to use as a preamp - kiss those times BUH-BYE!
