The EQP-A is a zero-compromise recreation of the classic 1950s Pultec EQP-1A tube equalizer, known for imparting a uniquely electric, silky sheen and thundering, tight low end to countless recordings from the 1950s through the current day. Featuring custom-wound inductors, transformers, and a full complement of NOS tubes, the EQP-A is as close as one can get to an original unit without paying vintage prices!

What’s a “Mastering Edition”?
It’s the same circuitry as the standard version EQP-A, complete with all the NOS tubes and carbon composition resistors, but in the Mastering Edition the EQ section features all precision rotary switches; stepped pots instead of continuously variable pots. The rotary switches are more precise and offer exact repeatability, a must in mastering EQs.
AudioScape even went one step even further with these rotary switches in an effort to retain the original look of the EQP-A. The stepped boost and cut controls are custom-made 21 position switches, not some “off the shelf” switches. This allows AudioScape to maintain the look of the original front panel without looking cluttered, or just straight up weird.
Pretty darn cool!
Each EQP-A Mastering Edition will be given its own unique serial number that designates it as a true AudioScape “Mastering Edition” unit.

- Gefahr durch Stromschlag - Öffnen Sie das Gerät niemals, während es an das Stromnetz angeschlossen ist, da im Inneren hohe – potenziell lebensgefährliche – Netzspannungen anliegen. Überlassen Sie Wartungsarbeiten ausschließlich qualifiziertem Fachpersonal.
- Wasser und Feuchtigkeit – Betreiben Sie das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Wasserquellen oder in Umgebungen mit extrem hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit.
- Eindringen von Gegenständen und Flüssigkeiten – Es ist darauf zu achten, dass keine Gegenstände in das Gehäuse fallen und keine Flüssigkeiten durch Öffnungen in das Innere des Geräts verschüttet werden.
- Belüftung – Achten Sie beim Einbau des Geräts in ein Rack oder an einem anderen Ort auf eine ausreichende Belüftung. Unzureichende Belüftung führt zu Überhitzung und kann das Gerät beschädigen.
- Hitze – Das Gerät sollte fern von Wärmequellen oder anderen hitzeerzeugenden Geräten aufgestellt werden.
- Stromquellen – Das Gerät darf nur an eine Stromversorgung angeschlossen werden, die den in der Bedienungsanleitung beschriebenen Typen entspricht oder wie auf dem Gerät gekennzeichnet ist.
- Schutz des Netzkabels – Netzkabel sollten so verlegt werden, dass man nicht auf sie tritt oder sie durch Gegenstände, die auf oder gegen sie gestellt werden, eingeklemmt werden. Achten Sie besonders auf Kabel an Steckern, Steckdosen und an der Stelle, an der sie aus dem Gerät austreten. Fassen Sie den Stecker oder das Kabel niemals mit nassen Händen an. Halten Sie beim Anschließen oder Trennen immer den Steckerkörper fest.
- Nichtbenutzung – Das Netzkabel des Geräts sollte aus der Steckdose gezogen werden, wenn es über einen längeren Zeitraum nicht benutzt wird.
- Beschädigungen, die eine Wartung erfordern – Bitte wenden Sie sich in solchen Fällen an einen qualifizierten Techniker.
